Backend Systems
APIs, authentication, business logic, relational data and internal tools.

I build backend systems, automation tools and API-driven applications around real operational problems.
From background workers and third-party integrations to databases, deployment and internal tools, I like owning the path from problem to working system.

Systems built around real workflows, integrations, automation and business requirements.
APIs, authentication, business logic, relational data and internal tools.
Scheduled workflows, web scraping, long-running processes, retries and external-service coordination.
Applications that communicate with external APIs, email systems, notification services and third-party platforms.
Deploying and operating applications on Linux / Windows servers using Docker, services and scheduled jobs.
I tend to work closest to the problem.
Many of the systems I’ve built came from workflows I was directly involved in, which taught me to think beyond implementation: reliability, edge cases, operational cost, maintainability and whether a tool actually makes the process better.
I like understanding the workflow first, identifying where software creates real leverage, and then building the smallest system that can reliably solve that problem.
01
Understand why a process exists before deciding what should be built or automated.
02
External services, sessions, networks and long-running jobs fail. Make those failures visible and recoverable.
03
Prefer useful systems over unnecessary abstraction.
04
Real usage reveals problems that are difficult to predict during initial development.
Backend is my primary focus, but my projects have required me to work across the stack.
I’m a Computer Engineering graduate based in Istanbul, focused on backend and software engineering.
Over time, I found myself most interested in software that sits close to real operations: APIs that connect systems, background jobs that keep processes moving, databases that represent business rules, and internal tools that remove repetitive work.
Since 2020 I’ve worked as a freelance software developer on client and business workflows, including REST APIs, database-backed applications, and Python automation for data collection and operational processes.
That led me to build projects across automation, backend development, integrations, infrastructure and full-stack applications rather than limiting myself to isolated demo projects.
My main direction today is backend-focused software engineering. I’m looking for teams where I can contribute to real products, strengthen my engineering fundamentals and continue growing around experienced developers.
Smaller work that shows range across data collection, mobile, on-device inference and earlier web applications.
04
A reusable scraping and automation layer for collecting operational data, with throttling, error handling and long-running execution on a remote Linux server.
05
A Firebase-backed Android application with authentication, profiles, uploads and stateful product flows.
06
Mobile computer-vision inference using ONNX and YOLO, focused on device-side integration rather than a cloud pipeline.
07
An early web application for ticket management, seating and admin CRUD over relational data.
